Kira met his eyes once more, "I'm in love with Jay," she coughed, tasting blood. Fear washed over her and she took a deep breath, slowing her breathing to normal and exhaling softly. She licked the remnants of herbs from her muzzle and sighed. The fae smiled, feeling much better after a few moments of normal breathing. She felt far from good, not even OK, but she felt like she wasn't about to die.

Zaylex smiled gently. Inside he was bitter with jealousy that she got who she wanted to love, but he could act ok for his sister.

"Kira... soon, your gonna have to go up in front if the pack, tell them who did this to you. Whenever you can walk around."

Kira's eyes widened, "she'll kill Jay!" she responded in a painful rasp. Gasping at the pain she lowered herself back to the floor of the den and breathed heavily. "I can't. I can't let her hurt Jay. I can't let her hurt my little warrior," she choked.

Jay scowled. "I can take care of myself." He told Kira. "Keli can't be allowed to stay here now."

"The alpha will decide that. I am guessing she will be put to omega. Anyway... we will protect Jay. And, she will tell her side of the story... while I won't help her... I won't go against her." With that, he left the room for the two lovers to talk.

"Thank you Zaylex," she whispered as he left. Her eyes found Jay and she instantly covered him in licks, "thank you for protecting me Jay," Kira was nearly crying. She pulled herself together. Sitting back she held herself shakily upright, "You never accepted my offer," she said softly, mostly because it pained her to speak at normal volume.

"Offer of what?" Jay asked, the fight with Keli had driven it out of his head.

She smiled again, weakly though, and spoke in a voice of whispered feelings, "to live in the nursery with you, if I live," she said, he voice lowering at the end. Kira laid her head on her paws for a moment before rolling onto her side and sighing.

Kyo burst into the medicine den, Feather had been weeping outside and left Zaylex to doing the work. She'd been repeating how she couldn't lose any more family, Convel was enough. Ky looked at his blood-ridden sister and Jay. "Wh- Is the attacker within this pack?" he spoke calmly though his fur was fluffed and his claws were kneading the ground imatiently as he looked at the pup with eyes like fire.

Ki smiled, then looking at Kyo, her eyes darkened, "she is," her voice was cold. Not only had Keli tried to kill her, but she had also broken the bond between sisters. "Kyo, I'm going to live in the nursery once I heal enough to move," she said softly, her voice stronger still.
